A reputable local import franchise automotive dealer group is seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead and optimize our pre-owned vehicle operations. This position is ideal for a strategic thinker with a passion for inventory management, sales leadership, and team development. The Sales Car Manager will play a vital role in driving profitability, enhancing customers experience, and fostering a high-performing sales environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Used Car Exp A PLUS: Oversee vehicle acquisition, pricing, and inventory mix to maximize profitability.
  • Sales Leadership: Support and guide the sales team to meet and exceed monthly sales objectives.
  • Market Analysis: Track market trends to adjust inventory, pricing, and marketing strategies accordingly.
  • Trade-In Appraisals: Accurately appraise trade-in vehicles and ensure a fair and competitive valuation process.
  • Team Development: Mentor and support the pre-owned sales team to build a strong, cohesive unit.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure a smooth and positive buying experience for all pre-owned vehicle customers.
  • Operational Excellence: Collaborate with dealership leadership to achieve financial goals and departmental KPIs.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

  • Work directly with our employees and customers to develop long-term relationships in the community.
  • Build rapport with customers to build a base of referrals to establish customer network
  • Provide training and support to the sales staff and assist in closing sales
  • Help manage all aspects of the sales department and inventory lot
  • Purchase vehicles for the inventory from auction and off-lease returns
  • Work with lot attendants to ensure all vehicles are properly tagged and positioned
  • Conduct trade appraisals and transport information into vehicle management system
  • Desk deals, track revenue logs, and manage retail delivery reports
  • Track record of staying within turn policy guidelines for inventory (60-90 days max)
  • Experience and track record of partnering with wholesale vendors and wholesaling vehicles when appropriate
  • Responsible for partnering with third party vendors and the service department to complete internal service work on used vehicles prior to entering lot inventory
  • Prepare and administer annual forecast and budget for used
  • Administer and monitor factory sponsored programs
  • 3-5 years prior automotive management experience required
  • Must be able to create and maintain customer relationships
  • Ability to handle a high volume of business with professionalism
  • Experience and ability to handle conflict resolution
  • Computer skills and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Build relationships with local and national vendors
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screens (background & drug screen)
